Showcasing visual artworks created by children and young people, the annual exhibition Young Voices New Visions is set to return to Worcester Cathedral this year, with entries now open.

The exhibition is open to all schools and community groups in Worcestershire who work with children and young people between the ages of 5 - 18. Work can be made collaboratively or by individuals in any visual art medium, but must be submitted by the group leader or teacher. Large-scale and 3D work is particularly welcome.

The theme for the 2024 exhibition is The Sky Above Us and the World Beneath our Feet. Below are some ideas that could be used to provoke group discussion and inspire artwork around this broad theme:

  • What do you see when you look up high?
  • What colours and patterns can you find in nature?
  • What lies deep underground?
  • What might you find in space?
  • What is the life of an insect like?
  • Where do you dream of going one day?
  • Where do you go to feel happy?

A theme has been chosen for the exhibition to unify the artworks submitted by schools and community groups. The exhibition will be open to the public from Sunday 26 May until Sunday 23 June 2024.

To submit artwork for the exhibition, complete the application form via online.severnarts.org.uk by 5pm on Friday 26 April 2024.
